These Google search tips will help you save a lot of time while browsing the web.

1. Using Quotes
When you put your search parameters in quotes, it tells the search engine to search for the whole phrase.

Example: If you search for Optimizing Website Speed, then the search engine will search for all three words in any order.
But, if you search for "Optimizing Website Speed", it will search for that exact phrase. This is a great way to filter irrelevant searches.

2. Using a hyphen
When you search for a word that might have a double meaning, you can use a hyphen to exclude one meaning out.

Example: If you search for Blackberry, you will get results including Blackberry phones and fruit.
But if you search for Blackberry -phone it will exclude all results with reference to the phone. You can even take it further by excluding multiple words, for example, Blackberry -phone -mobile -products.

3. Using site:
When you want to search for results from a specific website, you should use a site:

Example: Instead of searching for Worst ways to start a day, you can search for Worst ways to start a day site:soapbox.ninja and you will get results only from Soapbox Ninja.

4. Using related:
When you are trying to find websites that are related to a specified one, you should use related:

Example: Search for related:reddit.com and you see websites that are similar to Reddit.

5. Searching for images
If you have an image and want to find similar images, you can do that with Google too. Just visit https://images.google.com. You can either upload image or copy-paste image URL.

6. Using tabs
This is probably the most used tip from this list. After you see search results, there are Google tabs in top left corner; All, Images, Videos, Maps, News and More. They are a great time saver and you should definitely play around with them to see how they can help you.

7. Do math directly in search
Last on the list since this tip probably won't be used by many people. You can type your math problem directly in search.

Example: Search for 4+4*6 and you will get a result. You will also be provided with a calculator right below the search field. You can also search for constants and other math values. Try searching for Planck Constant or Pi.
